Void

Serpentine thoughts

By Izra RudolfoPublished 6 years ago 1 min read

Relentless aesthetic

Apprehensive apathetic

Pathetic anesthetic

Anesthetic pill in my whiskey to rinse the nerves of the thrill

The thrill of being alive that is

Shrill shivers in this brisk air

Too much flair, it isn't fair

Frail words, where's my anesthetic?

Pale and pathetic so I inhale the cigarette

Impale the nails of these cruel words hanging in my space

Slanted, yet effective

All these broken homes accumulate

Whose house is left standing during a constant hurricane?

Here I am again, asking questions without answer

Pain is cheap and easy to find

My endless play on words spins in circles

Yet remain content

Compared to a snake consuming its own tail

Inhale the ciggy once more

It's agony galore

Therefore, I sit here serenading this pain

Until you read again

sad poetry
