Mornings I wake, an empty space in your place.

I make my coffee and write my soul song for the day.

You stay on my mind

in my heart, you reside.

My lips, wet from anticipation and curious thought.

My day begins.

I scroll through my timeline, something to do.

All these notifications, but nothing from you.

Mornings I wake, an empty space in your place

My sacral chakra craves your balancing embrace.

Inside my universe

the stars align with grace.

I surrender the fight, and don't know what's right.

In a gravitational pull, too quick for sight.

This energy feels heavy, I'm under pressure.

I am a diamond that shines from your guidance,

captivated on our endeavours.

Mornings I wake, an empty space in your place.

I turn on the news for a weather update.

Sunshine, like you.

My phone chimes and with the minimal effort you make,

I'm enticed with the attention, no matter the case.

You come over, we vibe.

Sync our moans, then part after some time.

I know you're not mine

But connection's grown too deep.

We go to sleep,

face to face, but

in the morning I wake, to an empty space in your place.
