Views From Sixteen Stories Up
tiny little specks

From sixteen stories up
The view is nice from here
But when I look down
Not everything is clear
I can’t see their faces
I can’t see what they’re wearing
And even then, I try
I sit here
And I’m staring
From sixteen stories up
I wonder if I fell
Who would be there to catch me
What story would they tell
From sixteen stories up
The world feels kind of small
But we all know that’s not true
This world isn’t small at all
From sixteen stories up
They’re all just little specks
I hope in this big whole world
I’m someone you won’t forget
About the Creator
Gail Fredricks
just someone learning, unlearning, and laughing through the chaos.
