Vagabonds dilemma

Poems don't have subtitles

By Jacob RuleauxPublished 4 years ago 1 min read

home/house/home

it’s time to go

can you give me directions please which

exit was it again

how many addresses ago

where you receive mail

make new friends again the friction of motion

wears them into acquaintances

let’s go

home(house)

was that a time and not a place

11:42 am on Tuesday you thought was

Wednesday until the evening

back then time when the world was

taller and monsters were real

a child’s drawing box, triangle lid

stick figures in the yard

where to next

home{domicile}

where the heart is a thousand bread crumbs

you’ve scattered to find your

way back

home[abode, dwelling]

beware the sparrow eyes your pump

greedily

almost there

time under warm covers knowing

you’re there before I know I’m me

dreams still dancing before my eyes

home
