Us (for one moment)
thoughts of what was, what is, and what may be
By Savannah K. WilsonPublished 12 months ago • 1 min read

a poem from the fear and anxiety voices inside
If only for one moment, one small fleeting second
I truly believed you actually wanted me
Nothing could ever stop me reaching you
I would burn the world for you and me to be
Us
If only for one moment, one small fleeting second
You truly felt for me the way I have for you
But I begin to feel, perhaps it was all just me
In my head, a fairy-tale saying you also wanted
Us
If only for one moment, one small fleeting second
I could find the courage and the words I need
To gather my feelings for you ... and burn them away
For in this moment, this one second, I see there may never be
Us

Lovely... I could relate to it 100%. It sucks to love someone soooo much and nothing... Hugs!
So well written, so hopeful, so sad. Gosh. Hugs for you <3
This is beautifully written and beautifully sad.
This was so poignantly beautiful. I especially loved the repeating lines. Sending you lots of love and hugs ❤️
Your emotions bloom in every stanza.
Such a beautifully poignant piece! The way you capture the longing and uncertainty in love is so relatable.
