"US AND THE OTHERS"
I wouldn't dream of adding to your burden.
By William FröbergPublished 5 years ago • 1 min read

I wouldn’t dream of adding to your burden.
But I know you were there and I know you heard them.
When the sky was split in half, and exploded with light.
You were right by my side, I know you saw them.
When a beam went through me and we stood tall all summer.
Then fall came and the first frost pulled me out of that walking slumber.
I know you heard it too, the rolling thunder over horizons that mumbled.
Sonnets of solitary company.
I was swept off my mind and regained my sight.
I might dare to take you out on a really dark night.
