What tangled knots we weave. Like them, human relationships can be difficult to unravel. Yesterday being Kiss and Make Up day, we spend some time trying to make some sense of unmanageable knots.

Communication styles, differing perspectives, and emotions get in the way. So do our feelings of entitlement.

The ingredients to do so—compromise, communication, and empathy - are difficult to come by as well.

But with healthy boundaries, patience, and a little love, we can undo them, albeit slowly.

So, here’s to better relationships. Enjoy this free stanza.

Tangled knot

Tight, unyielding

Clear eyes to unwind

Unravel without sight

Seek the string to pull

Flatten string for all use

Shape string in a square

Then in a heart.
