Unwanted Dream

The hardest goodbyes are made when they die young.

With silent sobs our tears collide,

flowing as rivers in our last goodbye.

Our eyes see nothing but an unwanted dream,

wishing your life would return to thee.

With sorrow and love we carried your box,

lifting your weight in between the flocks.

With each step closer to your final grave,

all we really want is to take you away.

Seeing you ready to take your descend,

makes us wonder "will this nightmare ever end?"

The real time has come to say our farewell,

no one really wants to, but we still are compelled.

One by one we placed our hands on your crate,

as if by some miracle we could force you to wake.

Our wish was denied. Your life is still gone,

for such a thing can only be accomplish by God.

Rest dear friend surrounded by mountains,

under a roof of clear blue skies.

Rest covered by the peaceful meadow,

enjoy the gentle tunes of the birds lullabies.

Rest next to your grandfather,

he receives you with open arms.

Tell him the great life you lived,

filled with happiness and love.

Rest assured that you shall live

forever and always in our memories and heart.

I felt your pain and emotions. The love of those that left before their time. ❤
