From darkness, I burst

Into daybreak, a tremble

Rooted, testing, safe.

I stretch my new arms.

You exhale life, render me

Helpless but to grow.

Your love scours my green

I sprout, feeding on your light,

Burned by my pining.

Your tears quell the blaze,

Washing memories of lost

Time back into earth.
