abandoned like a beaten dog

I try to find refuge in mother’s embrace

Pushed out like birth, but opposite

Years of rebirthing

Get excruciating, more than first year

Body as worn and split / a tree split by an earthquake

I find the attachment to be like radiation

The half-life adjusted for selfishness

It may take an eternity to decrease one half its initial value

The glow of it all so pleasing

But tears you apart to get near it.

What Randy said. Yeah. When do we learn, if ever.

  • I find the attachment to be like radiation The half-life adjusted for selfishness I loved these lines so much! They were so deep! Such a poignant poem!

  • Ah, the exquisite pain of longing for the comfort that would destroy you.
