Untamed

Just like the fox

By IvanaChPublished 3 years ago 1 min read

Just like the Little Prince wanted to tame the fox, I also tried to capture and tame something elusive

Like golden sand slipping through my fingers, you evaded my grasp

Your presence was enchanting, drawing me in with an irresistible allure

Yet, despite my efforts, you remained untamed, slipping away like a mirage in the desert

You left me breathless everytime I felt your intoxicating scent

Fleeting moments that left a permanent mark on my fragile heart

I yearned for a connection that would withstand the test of time

Wanted to grow old with you

Count the growing wrinkles and gray hair together

Alas, it was not meant to be

I know i have to let you go

But in my heart I will never give us up as long as I live

All that remains are the memories of your lips - the taste of ripe peaches, and the longing to have woven our bodies together

I will always cherish all our delicate moments

Those never fade away

Just like my love for you

Beautiful poem describing the pain of love lost. I really enjoy your Petit Prince reference.
