Souls fall, smoke billows
Silent wailing at the sight
Battle wages on
—-
Hearts turning away,
The Creator sees them leave
But He won’t stop them.
—-
He gave us free will,
Never forcing His on us,
To see if we stay.
—-
Reward for staying
Is found in forever more
No reward for leaving.
—-
The world is a thief
Luring hearts and souls away
from the Shepherd’s flock
—-
Lies are implanted
deep within the fractured mind
Wrong choices seem good
—-
Some fight to the end
To bring His lost ones back home
from the world’s firm grip
—-
Eyes blinded, ears closed,
They worship the worldly sin-
captured, convinced minds
—-
Mind is battlefield.
World uses desires and hurt
To replace the Truth
—-
The Bible is more
than just a book. It’s the guide
to guarding our hearts.

That's so beautiful and true and sad. Lord, give us eyes to see and ears to hear...and feet to walk in Your path only.
