Understanding Mother Earth: an Epic Poem 7/7
The

There are things I would never say out loud
My guesses, at assembling facts, make me humbled not proud.

Translations of oral stories are passed down over the ages.
Some are seen in the mind's eye, as Folk- memory, by wise men and sages.
Logic, based on limited or erroneous knowledge, is rife.
There is often more to ordinary things that seem stable in life.
*
Man explores, but still does not know what he does not know.
Man pretends to answer questions with truth, that is not always so.
Science and fairy faith are both forms of delusion.
Self assurance and confidence often suggest knowing a conclusion.
*
Tellurium, namesake of Tellus, the omnipresent primordial Mother, is associated with the crux,
the stable cross leading to the southern poles, where the four cardinal points are in flux.
In many cultures, Tellus produces everything, inexhaustibly, from herself.
Rosa mystica in the stars nourishes Earth through the Milky way itself.
*
Tellurium, named after Tellus, carries pieces of the sacred feminine.
It has properties that can be viewed and effects that are genuine.
Perhaps goddess Tellus was designed to diminish the power of a female.
Her wrath was evidenced during earthquakes, wrote the patriarchal male.
*
Tellurium itself is rare on the Earth's crust.
It has an insidious effect, even as amorphous dust.
It gradually and subtly makes people feel unwell.
After touching it people have a disgusting garlic smell.
*
Tellurium holds properties like the fertile goddess, Jupiter's wife.
It has a lasting impression, with a very long half-life.
It can be treacherous if not handled carefully
but can create incredible things like superfast random memory.
*
Tellus might reveal things, about how views on women have changed, that you can’t say out loud.
Tellurium is a rare gift, of the universe, to which Mother Earth has been endowed.
Perhaps Tellurium is the Philosopher's stone and holds many secrets unspoken.
In the future, Tellurium might reveal more mythical memories and fact. The silence is broken.

My stories usually present facts, supported by science as we know it, that are often spoken of in myths. Both can help survival in an ever-changing world.

Oh, I didn't know all these things about Tellurium... I guess we learn something new every day,but today I learned more. Really love what you wrote!
Much to ponder here. I am a believer in both science and God. I am not under the disillusion that science always has to get it right from the beginning and if not it’s a hoax. Science is about learning and discovering through trial and error. Many great things have been discovered and invented because of science. Sorry for my science rant. I enjoyed reading what you wrote. It brings forth much food for thought and potential for growth. Excellent work!
