Screw it
There are things I would never say out loud.
They are glimpses of the stories of life that make me feel under a shroud.

Dear reader, be brave, firm and resolute. This fact I'll review.
The periodic table can be formed as a Telluric screw.
The periodic table unifies myth and reality.
Elements, minerals and metals are part of myth and chemistry .

In 1874 de Chancourtois arranged elements on Mendeleev’s periodic table,
twisting two opposing outward spirals round a cylinder, as in many a fable.
The Telluric screw, centres tellurium, arranging all elements interrelated.
Oxygen is used as a standard by which other elements are weighted.

Tellurium shifts weak van der Waal's electric forces in an electron cloud
causing attraction, then transmutation, as early alchemists vowed.
Tellurium is an ore containing gold,
it transmutes releasing gold. Perhaps it is the philosopher's stone of old.

Copper in minerals combine with tellurium,
becoming CuTe and causing a sort of delirium
Aerobic photosynthetic bacteria, from greenstones, with CuTe weak interactions changed the bacterial substrate,
creating photosynthetic organisms, new life and oxygen, that old lives did devastate.

Tellurium is part of human mitochondria, an important body regulator.
Tellurium is also used in making a solar panel and semiconductor.
Perhaps understanding tellurium is how to screw your courage to the sticking place.
