Under These Glorious Southern Skies

Waiting For You To Call And Take This Pain Away From My Heart.

The sun sets bright on the horizon,

A showcase of the sea in all its beauty;

The boats rock impatiently,

Waiting to be set free;

In rhythm with my heart,

Beating fast,

Waiting for you to stop it

from sinking,

I watch as the sun finally dips beyond

the blazing skies,

I wait until the stars pour their comforting

light into my tearful eyes,

But you don't turn up,

So,

Underneath these glorious southern skies,

Warming my heart with its fiery glow,

I still sit here;

Hoping,

Wishing,

Praying,

Here I stay,

Waiting for you to call,

And take this pain away from my heart.
