I am a woman, forged in fire

We birth men, we are mothers

The men who harm us, born of our brothers

We are sisters, aunts, friends, and more

We built a world around their needs

Tailored to their whims, their egos to feed

By family, society, and lover's hand

I've been controlled, manipulated, across this land

But I rise, unapologetic, with open eyes
