Grief knocks again, uninvited,
A cruel thief at the door of your heart,
Stealing voices you once knew,
Laughter that still echoes in quiet spaces.
Your father’s lessons, your mother’s voice,
Your brother’s laughter, your aunt’s embrace
All now memories you hold in trembling hands,
As the weight of loss tries to pull you under.
And yet
You stand.
With tear-streaked cheeks and shaking hands,
You rise, even when your heart begs to collapse.
Even when the world feels emptied of light,
When silence feels heavier than words,
You move forward, step by step, breath by breath.
I have seen the moments no one else has,
The way your sorrow spills into the night,
The way grief grips you in its cold hands—
And still, you fight through the darkness.
I have watched you carry the weight of loss
Without breaking,
Watched you hold love and pain in the same hands,
Watched you stand in the storm
Refusing to fall.
You are more than your grief.
You are every hug you ever gave,
Every tear wiped away,
Every love you’ve ever known
Still alive in you, still shining through.
I don’t just see your sorrow,
I see your strength.
I see the way you keep going,
Even when the world keeps taking.
And I stand beside you,
Praising the fire that grief could not put out,
The light that loss could not steal,
The heart that refuses to stop loving.
You are still here.
And that is proof enough
Of your power.
You are unbreakable.
