A recalibrating year, indeed
A year when clarity became our vision.
A year we had wishes that other fulfilled,
A year of finding, losing, and finding again.
In the mirror of memory, I see
A year of trials, of love we had and liberty.
A year of finding strength in every fall,
Of rising up, and learning to stand tall.
A year I bade farewell to the ghosts of my past,
A decade and some years it took me to realize
A year with much, yet little.
A year that made me stronger, yet still vulnerable to the rain.
As the old year fades like a scar,
A new chapter unfolds, near and far.
A time for reflection, for wounds to heal,
For the heart to rediscover its deepest feel.
But I’ve learned to face the shadows, to break the chains.
To find my voice, my inner might, and to love again.
So, I welcome the dawn, with its promise to last.
And I’ll walk into the new year with my heart Unbound.
