Umar (RA) and the integrity of the old lady Caliph, Umar Ibn al-Khattab (Ra), was the second caliph of Islam after Abubakr (RA). He was known for his justice, humility, and for Allah's fear. During his reign, the Islamic state expanded strongly, but what he most noticed was the fairness and compassion that he had shown people under his rule.

One night, Umar, California (RA) decided to walk around the streets of Madina as an ordinary man, as often as he does. He wanted to see how people lived, especially the poor and poor. He believed that a true guide must recognize the conditions of his people through his own eyes, not through his reporting or messenger.

He took his servant Aslam with him and passed through the dark alleys of the city. After a while, they reached the edge of the city where the poor lived. There they heard the sounds of the children screaming from the little house. Umar (ra) was concerned, approaching the house and standing quietly above the door to listen.

I tried to calm the children among the women. "Sleep, my kids, make food," she said. However, her voice was filled with sadness, and the children continued to cry with hunger. She cooked a pot of water, but Umar (RA) noticed something strange - the pot didn't give up on the aroma. He approached and realized that the pot only contained water and some stones. She pretended to cook to give her children hope and help them fall asleep with the confidence that the food was on the way. This sight pierced the coronary heart of Caliph Umar (RA). He knocked and requested the girl about her situation. Still blind to who he turned into, she replied bitterly, “Our Caliph Umar does now no longer care approximately us. My husband died in battle, and I haven't any one to assist me. My youngsters cry from hunger. Is this justice?”

Hearing those words, Umar (RA) did now no longer turn out to be angry. Instead, his coronary heart was full of grief. He stated nothing greater to her and quietly walked away. He returned fast to the nation storehouse and crammed a sack with flour, dates, fat, and different essentials. Then he located the heavy sack on his very own return. Aslam, his servant, stated, “O Amir al-Mu`minin, allow me convey it for you.”

But Umar (RA) replied, “Will you convey my burden at the Day of Judgment too? It is I who need to convey this.”

And so he did. With the heavy load on him, he returned to the girls house. He for my part cooked meals for the youngsters. He lit the fireplace himself and stirred the pot till the meals were ready. Then, together with his very own hands, he served the youngsters and watched them consume until they had been complete and smiling. Aslam later stated he noticed smoke growing through Umars beard at the same time as he bent over the fireplace. Still, he remained silent and focused on feeding the hungry. After the youngsters ate, Umar (RA) stayed for a while, watching them play and chuckle. He smiled, saying, “Now they chuckle as they had been crying before. I will now no longer depart till I see them as satisfied as they had been sad.”

The subsequent day, the girl determined out the person who had come to assist her, cooked for her youngsters, and carried meals on his return turned into none apart from the Caliph himself — Umar ibn Al-Khattab (RA). Shocked and ashamed, she went to him and apologized.

Umar (RA) instructed her kindly, “Don`t apologize. It is my duty. If I fail to appearance after my people, how will I solution to Allah at the Day of Judgment?”
