Ullswater

From: On nature

By Mat BarnsleyPublished about a year ago 1 min read

Upon Ullswater’s shores, I find my rest,

Where waters stretch beneath a tranquil sky,

The gentle waves, with peace, my soul caressed,

And all the world’s burdens seem to pass by.

The fells surround, their peaks in silence rise,

A timeless beauty held within their grasp,

Each moment here, a whisper in disguise,

Of nature’s hand, within which we all clasp.

The morning light reflects upon the lake,

Its glassy surface shimmers in the dawn,

And all who walk this path will soon partake

In Ullswater’s soft, eternal yawn.

A place where earth and water blend as one,

Here, peace remains when all the world is done.
