An Acrostic Sonnet

Under a red moon hidden by the sky

Killings of innocents continue still

Reminding all who remember the sty

Afforded those not being pigs with skill

Insidious derision from each side

Negating the present with future past

Enveloping each corpse with love that died

Under the harbingers of a big blast

Kindred spirits with small holes in their souls

Renegade from justice and world order

Attacking short lives with death and controls

Inflicting sorrow at every border

No more bombs for blood facing Babi Yar*

Even the nuked dead are showing the scar

* The site of the massacres ordered by the Nazis in Kyiv during their campaign against the Soviet Union in World War Two. The first and best documented of these massacres occurred on September 29-30, 1941, when around 33,771 Jews were murdered. Nowadays, too many ignorant and disgusting people want to assassinate Jews again.
