“ANCHOR” by SONYA D. SPRINGFIELD

CHOOSE your anchor

and know its role

one pulls down

the other HOLDS

one will drown you

the other offers STRENGTH

one is a weight

the other PREVENTS DRIFT

Yo, don't fear the wind or current

Choose your ANCHOR

and MAKE HIM PERMANENT.

#2

"I'LL GO" by SONYA D. SPRINGFIELD

Don't think I can't feel the fear.

Indeed, I sense the danger near.

It's true; the path is quite unclear.

In spite of it all, I'll go ...

At times, support may not be lent.

That doesn't mean I won't begin.

In fact, I'll work until I win.

In spite of it all, I'll go ...

I believe more is available to me

than fenced in, held back reality.

Spirit says, "Reach for the dream!"

Because of that, I'll go ...
