Twitches

In the night

You cannot help the feeling you get,

As the sun starts to fade,

An itchy and twitching twitch,

That drives you up the wall,

Vanishing in the morning,

Or so you suppose,

It will return the next evening,

For heaven's sake,

Whether you want it to or not,

A crescendo of rising levels in your head,

Asking you if you want to leave the door open.

Please say no,

It will be worth it,

Transposing the caress in your scream,

Catapulting the enigmatic smile, you left far behind you,

The radio static will not save you,

If you can piece together what it says.
