Twisted Trauma

Beautiful colours

By Jon PerrinPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

I’m not going to tell you

If I’m a lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, non-binary, queer or straight

Instead I’m just going to create love

To take over all the hate

Our sexual orientation is no longer a debate

We all belong as one

It’s called the human race

To me, all the colours in the rainbow

Combine to look so beautiful

Representing each and everyone of us being alive

Pride not only being shown in parades and festivals

But now, it’s on display everyday

And it’s here to stay

Gone are the days of black and white

We now invite the bright colours and lights

To ignite our faith and passion

As we share our strength with the nation

This is my dream

And it might seem extreme

To believe love can conquer all hate

But I do know

Nobody will ever dictate

The beautiful colours I can create.
