Twins
Inspired by My Dad and His Twin Sister Helen both R.I.P

Twins
Side by side, from the start,
Two souls with a single heart.
A brother’s laugh, a sister’s smile,
Together, they make life worthwhile.
Unspoken words, yet hearts do know,
The quiet love that continues to grow.
In every glance, in every touch,
They share a bond that means so much.
Through joy and sorrow, side by side,
In every storm, they will confide.
One’s wound is felt in the other’s chest,
A silent echo that never rests.
When one is hurt, the other weeps,
A bond so deep, it never sleeps.
A tear that falls, a heart that aches,
The other feels the pain it makes.
When laughter fills the air with light,
The other shines, their hearts alight.
But when the pain begins to rise,
It pierces both, beneath the skies.
Through every storm, they stand as one,
Their journey together has just begun.
No distance can ever tear apart,
The unbreakable link of their hearts.
Hand in hand, they face the skies,
laughter and love in each other’s eyes.
For twins are more than just a pair—
They’re a reflection of a love so rare.
For twins, their hearts beat as one,
A shared pulse, a bond never undone.
In every hurt, in every tear,
They feel it all, both far and near.
In love and loss, they are entwined,
Two souls forever, their spirits aligned.
Identically nearly both the same just one
A beautiful pair double the trouble and fun.

I've been writing poetry since the age of fourteen. With pen in hand, I wander through realms unseen. The pen holds power; ink reveals hidden thoughts. A poet may speak truth or weave a tale. You decide. Let pen and ink capture your mind❤️
