TURRETS AND DRAGONS

down by the sea

* * *

I want to live in a castle, down by the sea,

With turrets and dragons and stone fireplaces!

Oh, hey! What’s wrong with me?

This isn’t the 1500s; it’s the 21st century,

But, Oh! to ride on a dragon with wind in my hair!

Oh, hey! What’s wrong with me?

I’m not a young whimsical child; I’m in my 70s, you see.

But sometimes my imagination loves to run wild!

Oh hey! I’m a writer! That’s me!
