Tsunamis of Subterranean Thought
Caught in the Undertow
I was always dancing in the backdrop of your dreams
Whispering truth to in your ears
While you reclined with half-closed eye lids
Between your waking and sleeping worlds
My burden was light
Brilliant and bursting forth
When morning became electric...
The sunrise setting fire to your sky.
In the waking world
They mocked your Greek Valentine
Renaming your references to agape as "Tsunami Love"
Until Grace washed over you all,
Victim and perpetrators alike.
In one great tidal wave
Knocking you over.
In your dreamscape
You muscle hard to the surface,
Still trying to recover,
As if it all depended upon you!
Spewing seaweed and saltwater across the sand.
You wonder if your feet grip the Rock
Or are slipping
As you are dashed to pieces?
I burn with the heat of a supernova
To rouse you from your comatose state
Yet you still drift with the tide,
Your voice a faint echo in the waves.

Beautifully woven! So heartfelt.
What I love is that the main character behind the voice of this poem is almost invisible but somewhere near by, it plays with the mind in an enthralling way.
