Tsunami

By Zeline

By Zeline FarneyPublished 4 years ago 1 min read

I am a tsunami.

My path set in front of me,

I can’t help but devastate

as you and I collide.

I am unconstrained.

Even in the residual calamity

I stir with dissonant anticipation

and the tremors force me to life.

I revel in the chaos

trapping and consuming

all that once alluded me.

Rushing. Flooding. Swirling.

I’m unreeled

and unrivaled.

Bubbles rise.

Grasping for the air

you all

so desperately require.

I withdraw.

Contract.

Recede.

My God

The pieces follow my watery

tendrils.

The ocean of my sorrows

bury the casualties.

Peace and stillness reside.

I wait.
