Trust Over Sex

What we truly need are bonds, not just desires

By Rohitha LankaPublished 8 months ago β€’ 1 min read

If a woman engages in conversation with a man,

If two women or two men share intimacy,

Many individuals in contemporary society hesitate to view that connection as sexual or homosexual in nature...

The nature of human connections has deteriorated to such an extent that it appears impossible for bonds devoid of sexuality to exist among individuals...

Humanity has become diluted...

Is sexual desire the sole requirement for people in this world?

No...

What individuals truly seek are relationships, camaraderie, and friendships based on trust!

What holds the highest value for people are;

Reliable individuals who can listen to their troubles without passing judgment,

Those who assist them in rectifying their errors without highlighting their flaws,

People who withstand challenges and draw strength for future endeavors,

Individuals who share joy in their company and offer no excuses in times of absence!

In essence, what people need the most is

"Individuals who uphold their trust"πŸ’•

Sex is merely one aspect of humanity...

However, those who prioritize sex above all else perceive humanity solely through that lens...

Do not fabricate narratives when witnessing beautiful relationships enriched by human connection...

The absence of such relationships in your life is a reflection of your own shortcomings!

If your interactions with someone consist solely of sexual encounters, that is your concern!

Avoid the urge to interpret the emotional experiences of others...

Relationships are personal to each individual...

Let them navigate their own paths.

This is such a powerful reminder. In a world where intimacy is often mistaken for sexuality, we forget the beauty of human bonds built on trust, empathy, and presence. Not every connection needs to be labeled or explained. Thank you for voicing this with such clarity and compassion β€” it's something we all need to reflect on.

You make some great points about the importance of non-sexual relationships. It's sad that some people seem to reduce everything to sex. I've seen friendships where there's no sexual element at all, and they're so valuable. But I wonder how we can encourage more of these non-sexual connections in a world that sometimes overemphasizes sex. And how do we stop people from wrongly judging others' relationships? It's a tricky balance, but we should try to respect everyone's unique bonds.
