Trust Issues II

Tell me now, if trusting you is a mistake...

I have to ask you‐

Who's side are you on?

What, or who are your eyes on?

Because your hurt...

isn't just hurting me,

but my surroundings

and all who stand in them...

So, I have to ask‐

Who's side are you on?

Do you even know?...

What turmoil you turn in to me...

of the torment you bring to mind‐

you're always starting fires,

holding me, in this burning paradise by your ever changing will

torturing me with your lack of decisiveness,

although, unknowingly.

Your excitement is dangerous

and your apathy is almost fatal,

always back and forth between the two,

and almost never stable.

You bring to me, desire‐

after I've told you not to.

Never, do you listen...

This, is why I ask‐

Who's side are you on?

How can my source of life also be my source of dread?...

Just as you move blood through my veins,

you guide the flow of anguish that strains this vessel‐

Do you not know that this we share?

I guess not...

because, unaware of what you do,

you are the reason I have trust issues‐

and the source of all of my dangerous wishes,

like the one to bring an end to you, but‐

your bliss might just be the end of me.

You say your on my side, but‐

you continue to plan against me

How is it‐

that my own heart, continues to stand against me?

About the Creator

Josh Morgan

Personally, writing began as a creative outlet, to be a means of processing and venting emotion, but it has become so much more. Something I want not to be just relatable, enjoyable and a good read, but to reach someone who is in need.
