True Colors

After the Parade

After the Parade

When it dies down, those who are true still shine.

Colors reflect the beauty of sight

without it everything would be gray

colorless with less life, less love

just this and that no in-between filters of joy

just shadows of reflecting misery repeating itself over and over

again and again!

With color, no matter how hard you close your eyes you still see it

the rings and rainbows of everyday life

the real struggles of acceptance

the fake love and feeling neglected,

the hidden betrayal of close ones

but most of all,

the dimmed spotlight of reality settles in

doors closed and its all in your head

the shades of love wishing to be paraded.
