Searching for you through the haze
Still under the spell of our place
Your quaint cottage was love’s base
Where all fears and sorrow allays
I so wish to return to those days

My steps they must be retraced
For you cannot be replaced
Nor can these memories be erased
That ecstasy that was your embrace
Your enthralling scent, how you taste
Bodies entwined beside fireplace
.
Friends and lovers interlaced
I’m ever lost in dreams of your face
Feelings not ever destroyed or effaced
Still under the spell of our place

Oh Kayleigh, lassie! You are just writing belter after belter. Honestly. I love the rhyming (and I'm not a fan of rhyming poems), love the imagery and the way you finished this one.
