I can do all things

In Your name

As long as I stay

In Your lane.

You knew me long

Before I was created

You gave me purpose long

Before I was born .

My Mom used to tell me

I was only five feet tall

Because I drank too much

Tea growing up.

But You made me to be

Less imposing, unintimidating,

Blending in is easy for me,

Sometimes I’m even unseen

Un-noticed as I notice.

I’ve been called “ cute”

“ adorable”, “ beautiful”

“Strong”, “ tough”.

You knew exactly

How I would be received.

As a gentle soul, a kind person

An empath, a bringer

Of peace and tranquility.

The only ones who

Don’t like me are the ones

I irritate. The ones I stand up to

In a newfound defiance

Yeah, they can’t stand me.

That’s because I know

They’re there , trying to

Work their voodoo magic

On people I love.

I see them, and the sweet

Side of me evaporates and

Leaves the warrior side

Larger than life.

I never knew how or

Why I was given this

Purpose, until two days ago.

And now I see.

The enemy has messed

With my person . For many years.

But now I know.

The enemy is always trying

To draw us into his snare

Addictions, afflictions,,

Worldly desires, anything

Against God’s design.

I may have been confused

Before, but now

I’ve been activated.

The bringer of peace

Is making plans to

Scorch some earth

Where evil dwells.

The evil one cut me deep

Through this one,

But all he’s done is

Infuriate me.

Never assume the one

Who comes in peace

Isn’t skilled at war.

I can do all things

In your name.

I have a smooth rock .

I only need one .
