Trick or Treat

Acrostic

The night for kids to go door to door asking and getting treats and candy.

Ringing doorbells announcing the arrival of costumed children

In black and orange stockings, the witches cackle out loud

Candy corn is in abundance this year

Kettle corn smells waft through the air

Orange and black are the colors of the day

Red blood, though fake, is splattered here and there

Trunk or treat is the standard way to trick or treat today

Rowdy kids hyper on candy

Eating treats makes them happy

All are in a spooky, festive mood

The kids have costumes of witches, monsters, and superheroes.
