A Poem

Am I unfounded

Or do I un-find things?

Can you lose lessons?

Do they fall out of you

Like an over-filled slot machine

When you learn too many of them?

When you lose track of time

How do you get it back?

Quantum leap it

Or pull a Doc Brown?

What is “back on track”

If your track goes several directions?

We all can get philosophical

And ask the “what if”s too often to count

I’ve been told in several ways

In many situations

To evict fear from my body

And yet it creeps back in shortly following eviction.

Several times over

There are breathes, and then

There are decisions

Which carve your route, and yet

Train tracks take years to build.

Why do I hold shame for my unfinished path?
