A Poem

By Dayn KernsPublished 5 years ago 1 min read
Dayn, in their former room.

I’m sure happy, happier, happiest.

And there is so much more to come.

Flex this muscle, drain the tube,

Let these eyes adjust to strayed vision.

It’s all helpful, healthy to be here.

All the places we’ve come from,

For all the places we'll go,

Let go of the past that binds us.

We made it this far today, tonight.

In love, in light we promise and stride.

And we aren’t any to hide in the shadows,

Like vampires, we no longer hide in the day.

Out of walls and into corridors.

Front doors wide open to reveal a soft chest

Less mountains to climb, valleys ahead

Unwind myself in a new make and model this time.
