Trauma cookies
Oh God I miss you so much I’m dying inside
I’m creaming the butter
(Where are you, are you missing me too, I miss you)
I’m putting in a pinch of salt
(My tears are inside the batter, where are you)
You can have them when they are fresh out of the oven, I’ll give you the very first one, I love you
(Oh God I kissed you in my heart and it felt like a magical waterfall, I miss you more than a million things and I’m dying to see your face, I added the right amount of ingredients in the batter so you won’t get upset, I swear)
I’ll give you your fresh black coffee and your newspaper, too, and you can dunk in my cookies, dunk me in too
Because I’m your sponge
I’m soaking in the soaked up pain of you and all of us
Like a special sponge,
I just need you to wring me out
And kiss me like I dreamed you would.
These cookies are saved,
I took them out before they burned
I took us out and let us cool,
Where are you, my darling friend,
My cheeky love,
Where are you,
I split the cookie in half
Like my heart,
Until you return.
