Too Many Tears

Hold tight never let them go

Too Many Tears

Too many tears have fallen from this heart,

each one carrying a story I never told,

and I wipe them away with quiet hands,

hoping the ache will loosen its hold.

I walk the long path back to myself,

learning how to stand without breaking,

and every tear becomes a silent lesson,

teaching me which pain is worth keeping.

There is strength in the softness I show,

in the way I continue to rise each day,

and though the tears come when they must,

they never wash my hope away.

These tears remind me of my courage,

how I kept going when the world felt heavy,

and I look back with a calm acceptance,

knowing I survived every storm.

In the quiet after the tears have fallen,

I feel a gentle peace begin to rise,

and I hold that peace with steady hands,

grateful for the heart that carried me here.

As humans and creators we must always have HOPE that our words are heard some way.

I’m sorry you’re feeling this way. Btw, when you write with specific details, your writing goes to another level. “The universal is in the individual” (can’t remember who said that). Break out of the generalities and abstract terms and go for it. Be as weird and specific and detailed as possible. Write things that scare you with their naked honesty. I know it’s in you, hiding behind this vague language you’ve been taught.💖
