A companionship of trust and love
Together, Me And My Horse
I love my life in the way this moment breathes,
the leather creaks, the wheels wait their turn.
My hands rest easy, my heart knows its place,
nothing here is rushed, nothing asks to be earned.
I love my horse, the strength beside my calm,
the dark eye watching, steady and wise.
We share a silence that does not need words,
a trust that lives where fear never tries.
Stone walls stand witness to where we have been,
time pauses briefly to let us exist.
I sit in the now with my future unafraid,
wrapped in a life I would never resist.
If joy has a shape it is this quiet bond,
two souls moving as one through the day.
I love my life, I love my horse,
and together we already know the way.

Horses like dogs are great companions. There is nothing like a ride whether a walk, canter or gallop on a horse. Exhilarating and relaxing both at the same time.
My daughters were both horse riders in their tens and teens. Lovely words
