The victims of a storm, or its creators?

I forgave you because I once loved you,

although I know you would not do the same.

Even when your hatred towards me grew,

I said that neither of us were to blame.

Sometimes a storm is just the way life is.

It comes around and blows your house away.

The fault is neither yours nor is it his,

but sometimes it brews from all that we say.

Our tempest was by our own design,

a hurricane bearing your name and mine.
