If you were still here
Things would be so clear
Everything would fall into place
Because tears wouldn’t be on my face
You’d be mad at me for telling a bad pun
But daily we’d have so much fun
We would go for a scenic drive
Or we would turn on the radio and jive
Now and then we’d sneak a beer
And we’d make up a Cowboy cheer
The memories we could enjoy
As we try out new foods like bok choy
If only you were still here today
You’d be celebrating another birthday
Instead, you left me with so much trauma
I sure do miss you, Mama

I can relate to missing mama.❤️ My mom would be 90 and it has been 15 years.❤️
A well-wrought and lovely homage!

This is so heartbreaking, Sharon, but at the same time warm and beautiful. I can't imagine your pain, and my first thought was, "71 is so young to leave this world!"
