I sat there listening to your stories from chapters of your life,
About what you had to say, and what you were like back in the day.
You expressed what you felt was a dismay,
But you never forgot or regretted what had happened,
Today was a happy day.
Two strangers of different times, coming together everyday,
Just having coffee at the cafe around the corner,
You expressed what you felt was a dismay.
You shared your life in every way, because you said, we do not know what life might become one day,
There was nothing more that was said or done, because
Today was a happy day.
It was raining outside, on every pathway,
There was music playing as we sat to chat, people around us enjoying their life,
You expressed what you felt was a dismay.
It rained and rained,
But we never let it bother us, from sharing stories,
Today was a happy day,
