To Whom It May Concern...

…and, if anyone was wondering...

To Whom It May Concern...

no one knew that i left...

no one knew i was gone

and just how far i was‐

no one knew that i almost didn't come back...

no one knows that i'm here now‐

will they ever?...

no,

they don't what walls they're kept outside of‐

so,

they will never know how close my feet were to the edge,

how far off i was

how many pieces have come back together,

and how many are still missing‐

they don't need to know

where i've been,

where i've gone,

or where i'm going‐

because they do not validate me,

i do‐

so until i decide otherwise,

they can continue to exist in their bliss‐

i'm not looking for witnesses,

neither am i looking for someone to understand

just where i stand‐

they won't fit the shoes anyway,

and they don't need to,

they have their own to wear‐

so they don't need to know, where

i've been, gone, or am going

and they won't know,

when i may leave next‐

no one's asking when,

or if,

i will return‐

but,

to whomever it may concern,

i don't know that answer either‐

About the Creator

Josh Morgan

Personally, writing began as a creative outlet, to be a means of processing and venting emotion, but it has become so much more. Something I want not to be just relatable, enjoyable and a good read, but to reach someone who is in need.
