I’ve never been a morning person
But for you I’d wake at the crack of dawn,
Trade an hour of sleep, a movie marathon,
A drink, a hit,
An unfamiliar bed.
For you, I’d chase the hours,
Beat time between London and Nice,
Ride the air from Prague to Paris,
Keep your company
In the most isolated countryside I can find.
My watch lost a screw and I’m home now,
And I need you like never before.
I crave the pinks of the morning before morning,
When the world sleeps and I pretend
You’re singing to me above orange trees in Monaco.
Show off on your world tour,
Slide up in the States,
Sink down in Singapore.
Oh how beautifully you connect us,
How easy it is to depend on you.
