To the Love of My Life
A poem for someone I have yet to meet, but know I will someday
You are the calm in my chaos,
the steady ground beneath my feet,
a presence that feels like home—
safe, warm, and unwavering.
With you, silence isn’t empty;
it hums with understanding,
a language unspoken,
where I am seen and known.
You hold space for every part of me,
the light, the shadow, the dreams I keep hidden.
With you, I feel whole—
loved without conditions, free without question.
You are my laughter,
the spark that lifts my spirit,
the hand that reaches, even in my darkest hours,
reminding me that I am never alone.
In your eyes, I find both softness and strength,
a love that is gentle, yet fierce in its loyalty,
a trust that asks nothing but honesty
and a heart that holds mine like a precious truth.
With you, love is not a chase or a fight—
it’s a gentle unfolding,
a dance of kindness and shared dreams,
two souls walking side by side.
So here’s to you, my perfect partner—
not for how you change me,
but for how you let me be,
whole and wholly loved.
