To myself

I would say many things

Don’t let worry rule your life

And when it comes knocking at your door

Let it know that there is no soliciting

Don’t let perfection become your goal

If you strive to be perfect

You will never be good enough

Don’t let yourself live outside the moment

The past is the past

The future is the future

To myself; however

I would also say these things

Let kindness rule your life

You have to give kindness first

And expect it from others second

Let peace become your goal

Peacemaking should become a habit

One that you cannot shake off

Let yourself be okay with mistakes

The past is the past

The future is the future
