To My Present

Letter

By w_d_Published 5 years ago 1 min read

While I have you here, because I know you won’t be staying much longer. Let me say what’s on my mind. Our past brought us together. You should know that I have now abandoned our past. But don’t worry, this does not mean that we won’t meet again. We most certainly will, but under different circumstances. Better, for me and you. But before this can happen, I do have a favor to ask. Sever all ties with the past, my dear present. This is not vicious or cruel. This is simply, natural and right. Would you please? Kindly? Grant me this favor?

I am headed to the future. I would like to meet you there. But you won’t be allowed in, if you bring the past with you. These are the rules. Very strict. I know it’s a lot to ask and so, please do take as much time as you need. However, the sooner the better.

I’ll be waiting in the future.
