To My Hero
For the "Moment of Silence" challenge

Sometimes, when I come here, I remember well that day.
In the chaos of that night, I heard you call my name.
Lights flashing red and blue through a curtain of smoky haze.
Even heroes have to waver when they're faced with searing pain.
Not you, though; no, you found me screaming, "Make it go away." I
Can't say why the best of us, heaven would choose to claim. But
Even so, on my darkest night, you pulled me from the flame.
