Shelves upon shelves of bottled delights

Chased me around the room this night

They had grown impatient, you see

With my lengthened stare of indecision

Oh, they all seemed so very inviting, and so very

Very, Intoxicating. Forgive the play on words

Let us help you with your night

They importuned after me

We offer you the cure for all your deep desires

Well, maybe not a cure, they mumble and mutter

But a brief respite. perchance, from your:

Vices

Moral dilemmas

Drowning of sorrows

Celebrations

Relaxation

Heartbreak.....heartache

Happiness.......sadness

Wicked plans, evil desires

Sinister plots, wonderful adventures

Grand achievements, falling apart

Getting up, starting over

You name it

Whatever ails you

There is a drink for that!

They beckon, their mocking eyes so alluring

So alive, they see my inner soul's desire

I fear that I shall not, cannot resist........

The clamoring voices all grow deathly quiet

In anticipation of my choice,

Black wicked dark Rum, Cognac, Vodka, Tequilla

Single malt Whisky, Bourbon, Gin, Brandy, Wines in

flavors of Pica Rose, White, Dark, Dry, Sweet, Beguiling Red

And orange flavored, sparkling and Dessert

I whet my lips. I reach out, hands grasping

I desire some dark and mysterious wine tonight

A lovely darkly inviting bottle draped in red fruited vines

Is hugged to my chest

Awaiting morning's first sunlit kiss upon my cheek!

Eyes open

All evaporate, like mist and early first light's dew

Dreams you see, are our hearts unfulfilled desires

Set them free!
