To All The Boys I've Loved Before

My version of writing love letters to past flames

To all the boys I've ever loved

all three of you

 I gave myself to unconditionally

without regard to if you wanted to be loved as fiercely as I love

love has no regard for the humans it inhabits

so it swept me like a storm with each of you

Thank you for being a part of my life

in loving you

and ultimately hurting you and being hurt by you

because the love was not enough to make us work

in loving you

I grew more able to love

Not shutting out the pain of rejection, fear or feeling unwanted

by feeling the pain that inevitably comes with love

I've learned loss and love are a package deal

I love still

thank you

As an aside, if you've never seen "To All The Boys I've Loved Before," it is a romantic, cute and wonderful movie and you should go watch it.
